Why I am a Chiropractor

Bottom line? Change lives one adjustment at a time.

My story:

In 1999 I was diagnosed with chronic migraines. They were non stop, excruciating, debilitating and nothing helped. I was a candidate for permanent disability. How could this be and come out of no where? I ate right, worked as a manager and buyer for a natural foods store, and took care of my family. Maybe there were clues, I mean, sure I had muscle aches and slept so-so, but,”Doesn’t everybody these days “, is what I thought. My life and my family were impacted greatly during this time. For 6 months I tried everything holistic and eventually allopathic. My last hope was Chiropractic.

Within a few months of excellent chiropractic care, I gained 60% of my life back. Hey, if you feel as bad as I did, that is significant. I had no idea that my nervous system was not functioning properly. I did not realize that the nervous system controls all of the functions of the body. If the nervous system is not functioning properly, how can the body heal itself especially when most interventions only mask the symptoms? I learned that specific adjustments assist in restoring my nervous system allowing my body to truly heal.

Having a functional nervous system made the food I ate and supplements I took work even better to support my health. Even my family and friend’s health and mental performance improved with care. (Of course I had them get their nervous system checked and get care!)

With regular chiropractic check ups, I truly felt like I had a second chance in life and decided to go back to school for 4 more years and earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree so I, too, can assist people in getting their lives back.

I also completed a post graduate program that focuses on specific upper cervical adjusting (the upper neck part that houses your brainstem which controls the nervous system).

I am furthering my studies in upper cervical care and am implementing Atlas Orthogonal care into my practice.

I’ve had the honor of seeing amazing outcomes in patient care. Now keep in mind, chiropractors do not diagnose or treat disease. I help facilitate restoring the nervous system through adjusting the spine, and sometimes extremities (hands and feet) and cranial work. With an optimally functioning nervous system the body and mind are capable of so much more
